An Identity-Based Model Explaining Online Donor Appreciation

چکیده
Nonprofit organization (NPO) marketers are now increasingly turning online to recognize donors, with little understanding as how donor appreciation influences behavior. A scenario-based research design using an survey was administered a random sample of voluntary blood donors ( n = 356). The findings contribute identity theory by demonstrating that recognition (digital badge shared Facebook) can strengthen subjective impressions identity-related behavior above private thank-you email alone. Furthermore, outcomes positive appraisal (accountability and emotional value) were found differentially drive NPO-benefiting activities (positive electronic word-of-mouth donation intentions) depending on experience. results strategically inform improve retention.

Identity-Based Online/Offline Encryption
We consider a scenario of identity-based encryption (IBE) where the encryption device (such as a smartcard) has low power. To improve the computation efficiency, it is desirable that part of computation can be done prior to knowing the message and the recipient (its identity or public key). The real encryption can be conducted efficiently once the message and the recipient’s identity become ava...
متن کاملExplaining Ellipsis Identity
A modern statement about the structural relationship between an ellipsis site and its antecedent runs as follows. an elided XP must have a syntactically identical antecedent XP’, modulo traces This is quite a bizzare condition. Why should some parts of structure count for being identical, and others not? Of all the possible relations between two structures, why does this one describe the ellips...
متن کاملAn Improved Online/Offline Identity-Based Signature Scheme for WSNs
Online/offline signature schemes allow the signer to generate an online signature in real-time from a precomputed offline signature when presented with a document. Such schemes are particularly useful in resource-constrained wireless sensor network applications. In this paper, we describe an identity-based online/offline signature scheme based on bilinear maps, and prove the security of the sch...
متن کاملVisual Complexity and Beauty Appreciation: Explaining the Divergence of Results
Although a number of studies have verified Daniel Berlyne’s (1971) predicted maximum preference for intermediately complex stimuli, others have found that preference increased or decreased in relation to complexity. The objective of the present work was to assess whether differences in the kinds of stimuli used in prior studies or in the way complexity was defined could explain this divergence....

I'm worried about my paper. " I had a 25-page seminar paper due in less than two weeks. I'd turned in an eight-page proposal, with an outline and an annotated bibliography, and it had been severely and accurately critiqued by the class the day before. It's spring semester, my first year in graduate school at Indiana University. I'd considered myself a poet—I was getting a Masters in Fine Arts—b...
